These easy Paneer (Indian Cottage Cheese) doughnuts are one of the best appetizers. These cheesy, spicy, savory donuts are loved by all and no question that it is sinfully delicious. This Indian vegetarian appetizer is crowd-pleasing and perfect for any occasion at home. When it comes to Indian fried snacks, we go for samosa, pakora’s, vada’s or cutlets. After making variety of Indian snacks recipe, this one is again my new creation where I was able to create something super satisfying. How to Prepare for Making Paneer Doughnut Snack The Best Way

  • Making stuffing and dough of this Paneer Snack👍: Making recipe of Paneer(Indian Cottage Cheese) Donut requires little bit of focus and hand skill. For making stuffing or filling of this Paneer Snack, mozerella cheese should be moist. Newly bought mozerella cheese is usually moist. Also, do not overstuff the donut sheet with filling. Doing so will cause consequenses while frying the Paneer stuffed donut.

Paneer Doughnut Snack Recipe Ingredients

  • Paneer (Indian Cottage Cheese) 160 grams
  • 1 small chopped Onion
  • All-purpose flour (maida) 2 cups
  • Bell pepper (Capsicum) ½ cup chopped
  • Mozzarella Cheese ½ cup chopped
  • Black pepper powder ¼ teaspoon
  • Roasted cumin(Jeera) powder 1 teaspoon
  • Oil to fry
  • Salt to taste


How to Make Paneer Doughnut Snack Recipe

Step 1

How to prepare dough for Paneer Doughnut Snack Recipe: In a bowl add all-purpose flour, ¼ tsp salt, 1 teaspoon oil, add water in parts and begin to knead a firm dough. Cover the dough and keep it aside for 20 minutes.

Step 2

How to prepare Paneer donuts Recipe stuffing: In a bowl add grated paneer, chopped bell pepper, chopped onion, chopped spring onion, salt to taste, black pepper powder and roasted cumin powder (you can also add chaat masala). Mix everything and stuffing is ready. Note: We will add mozzarella cheese later in this recipe.

Step 3

Prepare dough of Paneer donuts for rolling: Check dough after 20 minutes and give quick 30 seconds massage to dough before rolling. Divide dough in half and make flat round shape by rolling in into thin sheet (thickness should be same as samosa sheet). If needed you can dust surface with all purpose flour to roll the sheet thin.

How to prepare sheets for Paneer donuts snack: Cut all the sides using knife and make it into rectangular shape. Now cut again in 4 equal parts in rectangular shape. Take out the rectangular shape one by one and keep them covered. Take one of those rectangular shapes and apply water on one side. Now add prepared stuffing in the center and chopped mozzarella cheese. For sealing technique refer video. Make sure to seal all the donuts properly so that it does not open while frying.

Step 4

How to cook or fry Paneer donuts snack: Heat kadai or wok on low medium heat and add oil. Add prepared paneer donuts in oil and fry on low heat for 3 to 4 minutes. Then increase the heat to medium and fry until it turns golden brown. Take it out in a plate. Scrumptious and delicious Indian Snack Paneer Doughnuts are ready to serve with desired chutney or tomato sauce. If you love tea, it could be a great companion. Fried Paneer Doughtnuts should be golden brown in color, with flaky shell and moist cheesy from inside.
