Here is an easy recipe of Indian style macaroni pasta filled with veggies and flavors. Even your picky eaters will ask for more. This macaroni pasta has base of tomatoes and vegetables. Macaroni always taste delicious with Indian spices and makes perfect lunch for kids to go in their lunch box. In my home, this Indian style veg macaroni pasta is an absolute winner with the balance of nutrition and taste it has. Today I am sharing, how to prepare macaroni pasta in Indian style which is very different from your day to day pasta. You can make this macaroni pasta for your quick hunger fix. Enjoy in your lunch or dinner and great dish for your tiffin box.

Ingredients for Recipe

  • 1 cup/ 130 grams macaroni
  • 2 medium finely chopped tomato
  • ¼ cup diced carrot
  • ¼ cup finely chopped green beans
  • ½ cup red, green bell pepper (capsicum)
  • 3 cloves of garlic minced
  • 1 tsp sweet chili sauce
  • ½ tsp chaat masala
  • ½ tsp cumin powder
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 ½ tbsp olive oil
  • 1 inch minced ginger
  • 1/8 tsp black pepper powder
  • 1 tbsp tomato ketchup
  • 20 grams finely chopped cilantro (coriander)

Recipe Method

Step 1

Heat pan on medium heat, add 1 ½ tbsp olive oil. In hot oil add 1 tsp cumin seeds. Allow them to sizzle. Add 3 cloves of minced garlic and 1 inch minced ginger. Sauté for 20 seconds, add1/4 cup diced carrot and ¼ cup finely chopped green beans cook for 2 minutes. Add ½ cup chopped bell pepper/capsicum (red and green) and sauté for 1 min. Add 2 medium finely chopped tomatoes and cook until they turn soft.

Step 2

Add ½ tsp cumin powder, ½ tsp chaat masala, and salt to taste. Mix well, add 1tsp sweet chili sauce, 1 tbsp tomato ketchup give this good stir. Now add boiled macaroni (I have boiled 1 cup of macaroni with ½ tsp salt and few drops of oil, little oil will prevent macaroni from sticking and clumping together). Mix well; add 1/8 tsp black pepper powder, some fresh chopped cilantro (coriander) leaves. Give this all a good mix. Easy and delicious Indian style macaroni is ready to be served. Enjoy eating hot!
